Let’s have some fun! Come quilt this one of a kind mystery quilt with me. Patrick’s Puzzle is a free four week mystery quilt-along that begins on March 17, 2021, St. Patrick’s Day. I have designed this quilt pattern for the members of the Scrap Quilting Facebook Page. If you are not a member of that group, please join up for the opportunity to visit and share ideas with other quilters.

The clues (steps) will be released live on my Youtube channel each of the four weeks. The supply list video is already up and the fabric requirements are also listed below. Also, check out this video I did on Block Design Boards. These will be so helpful for you if you make some in the 16″ size that you see in the video. I cannot give away the clues, but trust me, you will want these.

This quilt is totally achievable by a beginner, but will also provide a fun challenge for those with more quilting experience. I hope you will consider joining in the fun and sharing your progress photos. I can’t wait to see all the different colorways this quilt creates.

Fabric Requirements and Supplies:

Eight fat quarters of various colors: Bright colors or Batiks work well. You could also use the same color, but need a very large tone difference between each fabric. Basically, these eight fabrics need to be very much unlike each other.

Background fabric: 2.75 yards (all the same color, lighter is better)

Border Fabrics: 1.75 yards for two borders and 1 yard for another. These should coordinate well with the background fabric and with each other.

Thread: any neutral color will do.
