One of the fun things about doing longarm quilting for hire is that you have so many clients with tastes and talents unlike your own. This client quilt, created mostly from Kaffe Fassett fabrics, was on the frame today and I was just enamored by the rich color.
Kaffe Fassett is an American artist who has been working in textiles as long as I can remember and is known for his deep rich color choices. His fabric lines are always saturated with bright popping color.
This quilt made me think of one of those abstract paintings where paint buckets are dropped and paint is splashed around randomly. I absolutely love it. The quilting pattern used on this quilt is called Amusement. I think it is very fitting.
