Well, it was a long (years) coming, but The Dragon is finally finished and framed. I can’t believe it is done. The framing went so well that I think I am going to do all my framing from now on. This 16″ x 20″ frame was a gold monstrosity, that once held an hideous painting/portrait. I removed the painting, spray painted the frame silver, as gold is not part of my decor, and bought a double mat and glass. Stretching the piece over the mounting board consumed the largest amount of framing time, but when it was all done, it looked like a masterpiece. I am thrilled. The background has a glare on it that looks like it is stained, but it is not. The photo doesn’t do it justice, but here it is all the same.

Absolutely gorgeous!!!! 🙂
WOW! Stunning is all I can say!
Great job – congratulations on the finished object!
I did this project sometime in the early 90s. I think it’s probably the one that get the most attention when it’s hanging; people are just drawn to it.
I know, there is just something about the size of the dragon wrapped around the castle that gives it that wow factor. Thanks for stopping by 🙂
